We saw all sorts of weather at Spring Dairy Expo in 2009 from snow on Monday and Tuesday to rain on Wednesday and sunshine on Thursday and mild temperatures Friday and Saturday.  A total of 564 animals from 6 different breeds were exhibited and placed by judges Steve White of New Castle, Indiana, and Lynn Lee of Smyrna, Tennessee.  Cattle traveled from over 13 states including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Maryland, Missouri, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Oklahoma. There were 4 different breed sales and over 205 animals that traveled across the auction block.  Another highlight of our Spring Dairy Expo is the all breeds showmanship contest that takes place on Friday late afternoon.  There are 4 age divisions and we had 93 participants this year.  It is truly exciting and motivating to see so many youth interested in the dairy industry.  Congratulations to ALL participants!
